Minimalism, universalism, timelessness, bright furniture and colorful, natural accessories are mainly the determinants of the Scandinavian style. How to arrange a bedroom in this convention?

The Scandinavian style is valued by amateurs of order, elegance and simplicity. It works well in the interior, which is to be a place of rest after a whole day's work and daily duties.

Scandinavian style features

As the Scandinavian style does not like splendour and unnecessary elements, it makes the interior light and spacious. It introduces harmony, which translates into inner balance and peace.

It is dominated by bright, subdued colors: white or grey walls and furniture. They give the interior a clear, transparent and clean character. They don't irritate, they don't distract. They let themselves calm down and calm down. However, the bedroom arranged in such a way may seem a bit too raw and cold. That's why it's worth breaking them with natural accessories: dark wooden floor, woollen carpet or fur rug. Thanks to them, the interior will become warmer and more cosy.

Furniture should be capacious, so it is advisable to equip the bedroom with a large chest of drawers and wardrobe. Those who like to read before bed, arrange a cosy corner with a comfortable armchair and a lamp. We could use another night table. With the number of furniture it is better not to exaggerate and, bearing in mind the principle of minimalism, to leave only the most necessary ones.

The central and most important element of the bedroom is the bed. In Scandinavian style interiors the best choice are those with a simple construction, large, solidly constructed and giving the impression of being massive. It is good when they have a wooden or metal frame, forged, black or graphite. They can also be replaced by pallets covered with a mattress or by a mattress placed on the floor.

Accessories with a hint of colour

It's time for extras, especially bedding and bedding. In their case, you can use light colors, corresponding to the interior - choose white or gray double bedding or choose warmer colors that will break the pallor of furniture and walls. In this way bedding and pillowcases will become not only a necessary and practical part of the equipment, but also a decorative element. They will work especially well in pastel shades of green, dark beige, brown, as well as in sandy and honey colours - they will harmonize with the rest of the decor. More pronounced colours, for example red, are better used as an accent or additive, for example as a pillowcase. The Scandinavian style is all about moderation, order and harmony. When choosing a set of bed linen, it is advisable to take these colours into account, but also to take care of the design related to the style, preferably with a Norwegian rustic pattern. You should also pay attention to the material of bed linen and pillowcases - it should be natural, so as to ensure a healthy sleep. The Scandinavian style particularly values cotton, linen and wool. These fabrics can also be used to make blankets, bedspreads, curtains.
